Nothing feels more like home than having a tater tot casserole! It is the definition of comfort food, and so easy to make! We love making them and having them in the freezer for those cold nights when we don't want to cook.
This recipe is packed with flavor and doesn't need much to go with it. If you want to add some other dishes, we would pair this with a Caesar or cobb salad, roasted vegetables, or a vegetable soup. You can't go wrong with whatever you pair with it because the casserole will always be the star.
There are a lot of modifications you can make with this dish, depending on your allergies or what you have in your cupboard. We have used peas instead of corn, vegan meat substitute instead of beef, and we even added zucchini one time, and it was delicious! With so many combinations and so much flexibility, there is nothing you won't love about this dish.
