Beef and broccoli is always a classic and it is for a reason - it is delicious! This recipe is done in the slow cooker so it could not be easier to make! If you have errands to run, have to go to work, or just want something simple, this is the recipe for you!
There are so so many options to pair this dish with. Our favorite is plain old delicious white rice with some of the sauce drizzled on top, it is classic and delicious! But you can also step it up a notch and pair it with fried rice, cucumber salad, asian slaw, or lo mein.

GLUTEN FREE - DAIRY FREE RECIPE
Beef and Broccoli Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb flank steak
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2/3 cup gluten free soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 4 tbsp cornstarch slurry (equal parts cornstarch and cold water)
GLUTEN FREE - DAIRY FREE - LOW FODMAP RECIPE
Beef and Broccoli Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb flank steak
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2/3 cup gluten free soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 4 cups broccoli florets (maximum serving size for Low FODMAP is 1/4 cup per meal)
- 4 tbsp cornstarch slurry (equal parts cornstarch and cold water)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Beef and Broccoli Instructions:
- Cut steak into cubes or strips depending on your preference, we prefer cubes.
- Add steak, beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes into your slow cooker.
- Cook and cover for 2-3 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low.
- Whisk cornstarch slurry and add it and the broccoli into slow cooker.
- Cover and cook for another 20 minutes.
- Test the broccoli to make sure it is done to your liking, if it is too hard you can cook for a bit longer.
- Remember for Low FODMAP individuals, the max serving size for broccoli is 1/4 cup.
- Serve beef and broccoli with your desired side dish and enjoy!
