BBQ is our favorite type of food in this house. My husband loves the meat, and I love the sides - it is perfect! No matter what kind of BBQ we are having, we will always have coleslaw, and nothing is better than the classic! 

We have spent years perfecting this recipe to get it just right! It goes perfectly with anything BBQ - ribs, chicken wings, burgers, hotdogs - but it also goes great as a side with so many other dishes!

GLUTEN FREE - DAIRY FREE RECIPE

Salad Ingredients:

  • 1/2 - 1 head of green cabbage
  • 3 - 5 carrots

Dressing Ingredients:

  • 2 cups mayo
  • a few tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp almond milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • salt and pepper

GLUTEN FREE - DAIRY FREE - LOW FODMAP RECIPE

Salad Ingredients:

  • 1/2 - 1 head of green cabbage (max 3/4 cup per meal for low FODMAP)
  • 3 - 5 carrots

Dressing Ingredients:

  • 2 cups mayo
  • a few tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp almond milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

Coleslaw Instructions:

  • Wash your veggies and set them aside. 
  • Using a food processor or cheese grater, shred your cabbage and carrots and add to a mixing bowl.

Dressing Instructions:

  • Add all ingredients to a small mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
  • Taste and adjust accordingly. 

Putting the Recipe Together:

  • Add the dressing to the veggies and give it a good mix. 
  • Enjoy!
